Jersey City Under Construction

If you live in Jersey City, then you, too, are watching the face of the city morph by the day. It has already changed massively since we moved here in mid-April (of 2014!) and I can only imagine how residents who have lived here for decades must feel as they watch the city change and modernize so significantly and quickly around them. It dawned on me the other day that even just six months from now, Newark Avenue between Grove and Jersey will look entirely different than it does now. Take a mental snapshot as you walk around; the Jersey City you know will soon be the Jersey City you knew. I smell a bit of a Bedford Avenue (Williamsburg) being developed around us.

So, I decided to throw the World's Cutest Human on my back and photograph as much as I could capture, with the intention to share some before-and-afters as things continue to change in the coming months-to-a-year.

Here are some nice shots we captured on our walk.

What time is it? Makeover time, apparently!
