Rising To The Road | Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

A quaint and colorful seaside port town along the southern coast of Nova Scotia

Lunenburg was enchanting. I'm discovering a certain magic in exploring during misty, foggy weather. Especially when colorful optimism radiates from within as seen in the multicolored homes and businesses that cascade down the hill into to this little seaside port, fishing and shipbuilding town.

After leaving Acadia and the Annapolis Valley, and before heading up to Cape Breton, we drove out of our way to the southern shores of Nova Scotia. We were in Lunenburg for less than 24 hours, camping right in the center of town at the Board of Trade, which was was convenient and simple. We walked all over Lunenburg when we arrived, and spent the next morning exploring around the port by bike after a homemade, delicious breakfast at Kate's Sweet Indulgence. All to take photos and soak it up in the misty rain. It was glorious! And these are some of my favorites photos to date on the trip.
